Photo: Leafy Droplets

Leafy Droplets — a brilliant green leaf adorned with raindrops

Droplets magnify the veins and texture of a brilliant green leaf. Took this after a storm; these are authentic raindrops. I cropped the image tightly, added lots of contrast, and removed some specks of dirt.

Simplicity — a beautiful pink rose

A lovely pink rose on the ground against a pallid background of dirt and a wilting flower. I recall thinking this would be too clichéd, but I’m glad that didn’t stop me.

Two of Us Against the World — dandelion clocks

A pair of dandelion clocks against a vivid pink and blue sky. My camera was on the ground, pointing up, for this photo; at a normal angle this would be nothing special. Enjoy.

I added contrast through curves, and shifted the wight-balance to cooler tones to achieve this striking image.

Photo: Raindrops

Raindrops — drops of rain in beautiful black and white

One of my best photos: raindrops, captured in motion. It took about 70 shots to get this; it’s of water drops falling off the roof of my back porch. The sun came out, so I had light to use a fast shutter speed (1/2000 second).

I sharpened and added contrast to make this perfect.

Implicity — a beautiful yellow rose

Darkness surrounds a fallen yellow rose. I darkened and desaturated the rose’s surroundings to make it stand out.

Photo: Sky of Fire

Sky of Fire — a vivid red sunset

A brilliant red sunset I saw while my chauffeur (a.k.a. Dad) was driving me home from work. I whipped out my Canon Rebel XTi (you should always keep a camera with you for scenes like this) and got this shot. Our windshield is scratched up, so the oncoming car’s headlights appear streaked, but I like the effect.

The Lonely Ornament — nobody loves you...

A lone ornament that I saw hanging from the ceiling at McDonald’s. Merry Christmas, everyone!

The Last Hour — a striking purple sunset

A beautiful purple sunset from our front yard. I used the kit lens because it’s the closest I have to wide-angle. Enjoy!
