For on-site event photography, including birthdays, parties, portraits, and locations, I charge a flat fee of $79.50 per hour (minimum one hour), with no charge for travel expenses, as long as the shooting location is within ten miles of my studio in Ormond Beach (if not, contact me for pricing). This is a package including culling, retouching, an unmatted four-by-six inch print of each photo, a compact disc containing low-resolution and high-resolution copies of the photographs, and a waiver of non-commercial reproduction rights, signed by me, meaning that you can print the photos yourself, and share them with family and friends. Pricing is subject to change.
No makeup is provided, so please prepare yourself before the shoot. Normally I take about one-hundred photos hourly, later narrowing it down to the best thirty, and then pay special attention to each photo in post-processing, where I retouch the photos for true skin tones and pleasing focus. I will also remove minor skin blemishes upon request, at no additional charge. All of my photography starts in color, though I may convert photos to black-and-white if I feel the lack-of-color better fits the image.
For events exceeding an hour, the additional time is billed in quarter-hour increments. Normally the compact disc is ready in one week, and the photos go to press, returning two weeks after the event. I can then mail them to you free-of-charge, or you can pick them up at my studio if you want them quicker.
I offer additional prints at a price of $0.39 each for four-by-sixes, $0.99 each for five-by-sevens, and $1.99 each for eight-by-tens, plus a flat-rate fee of $2.99 for shipping and handling (or no fee if you choose to pick them up). For the latter two sizes, I manually crop the images to fit the shape of the paper, while preserving the most important parts of the photos.
Payment must be made before receiving the photographs, and within sixty days of the event. I accept cash, money orders, and personal checks (write checks to Richard X. Thripp), by mail or in person.
