I think part of the effect comes from the two cars in the forefront looking so much the same. It adds to the eerie sci-fi atmosphere.

Thanks, Kristi! That’s what caught my eye immediately… glad I had a camera with me. Also my father drives my everywhere (I’m 17) so I can take pictures without crashing because I’m just a passenger.
