An orange rose with water drops; I took this at a Lowe’s flower shop. The bubble in the center is a droplet that looks to be floating; I didn’t use a dropper as this was after a storm.
The flower is a red hybrid-tea rose; I made the color shift by changing the white-balance setting in-camera.

Richard X. Thripp at 2008-05-12T19:21:15.I use a Canon PowerShot A620 for macros like this; it’ll focus to one centimeter (four-tenths an inch). Your camera might too; look for a button with a flower icon on the camera, or if you can’t find one, search the manual for “macro mode.” You have to press that button when your subject is closer than about a foot from the camera.
