The X stands for justice.

I’m Richard, a Daytona State College [1] student in computer science. I’m 17, have been taking pictures [2] for 4 years, and developing myself [3] personally for at least 6 months. I didn’t start taking brilliant photos till I started this website [4] in 2007 December, though.

My mission is to inspire innovation, greatness, and personal responsibility in myself and others. The wording and methods may change, but the mission is forever the same.

I made Thripp.com [5] so my family could get online and blog without me having to maintain separate sites for everyone. Here’s my Dad [6], my Dad again [7], mom [8], cousin [9], another cousin [10], and me again [1]. You can blog on Thripp.com by registering here [11] if you’d like.

I live in sunny Florida, about five miles from Daytona Beach. Give me a call at 386-675-4472 if you’re around, and I’ll take pictures of you possibly.

I was [12] going to be a librarian, but I’m pretty disappointed in the Volusia County library system. They throw out books and waste tax money constantly. I’m going to open [13] my own library [14] in a few years.

I don’t want to work for a living [15], so I’m going to keep writing [3] / expanding the minds of others, while making money [16] off those little ad boxes you see around the site. They brought in $56 last month… which is alright because my parents continue to support me for some reason.

My mother left for California when I was 6, but my Dad remarried and we have a happy family. My new Mom works at the local health food store, encouraging me to eat vegetables and raw foods occasionally.

My Dad changed his name from Parrish to Thripp in 1986. I like it. It’s much more interesting and distinctive.

Right now (fall 2008), I’m struggling through calculus and physics at school. Biology and speech are my fun classes. 2008-10-20 Update: I’ve found out that I’m a lot better at calculus than biology.

I always have a camera on me, and I play the piano [17] while not reading, writing, photographing, or schooling.

My pictures are all Photoshopped [18], in case you’re wondering. All of them are royalty-free stock photos, and I link to the source file and high-res version at the bottom. Use them for anything. Be sure to credit me so others can find them.

I’m living the grand adventure of life, and I’m always learning and improving myself. Make sure you do the same! It’s the only way to live.

I will never commit suicide. If anyone says I’ve done that, it’s a lie; be very suspicious.
